Summer update.

With the new academic year beginning I’ll use this first blog to explain what I’ve been up too over the past 6 months. Firstly I’m going to show off and talk about the completion of my studio I finished building at the start of the year. I converted about thirty percent of a double garage into a small recording studio to aid me with my final year projects as well as personal projects I have set. It’s been up and running for about six months now and I like think of it as a base for all my projects. I set up a dedicated ‘myspace’ for the studio and my work at http://www.myspace.com/lindleyproductions.

Over the summer I worked on three projects, firstly I have been recording a portfolio over the last couple of years and this finally got finished last week. I have plans to send this to a couple of contacts I made in London so I will post another blog later in the week explaining the details of ‘Songs for sale’ (my CD). In august I applied to do some work for a web based video debate site ‘Friction TV’, this involved me interviewing fifteen people debating various subjects. The final video’s have been posted on there site and can be viewed at -http://www.frictiontv.com/debate.php?debateno=748.

In early September I applied via mandy.com to record sound for a short film on location in Sheffield. The film was directed and written by an ex film studies student who is planning on entering a few short film festivals. The day was a huge learning curve for me as it was the first time I had worked with unfamiliar directors and professional actors. The film is currently being edited and I will post the final edit on my website as soon as possible.
